Born from an idea and the desire of its creator, Avelino Bastos, who started shaping professionally in 1976 producing every surfers’ consumption dream. In its long journey, Tropical Brasil worked with several World-Class surfers such as Teco Padaratz, Peterson Rosa, David Husadel, Neco Padaratz, and many others. From its birth until now there have been 7 awards for “Best Shaper in Brazil” and a lot of experience, knowledge, and baggage! Avelino has lived in key influential places for the sport such as Hawaii, California, Australia, and Europe where he was able to improve and perfect his art and talent as a shaper.
